Free fire risk assessment template for restaurants, pubs, cafes and hotels, built for the Fire Safety Order 2005

## In one sentence

The Fire Risk Assessment Template is a free PDF + Editable Document for UK food businesses with 4 record sheets: kitchen-specific fire hazards checklist (deep fat fryers, extraction, gas), ignition source identification, people at risk assessment. Download it, print it or fill it in, and keep it with your food safety records; Paddl keeps the same records on a phone with timestamps and reminders.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 makes the responsible person for every non-domestic premises carry out a fire risk assessment, record the significant findings, and act on them. Since October 2023 the record must be written whatever the size of the business. Hospitality premises have the hazards fire officers worry about most: grease-laden extraction, deep fat fryers, gas, a public who do not know the building, sleeping accommodation in hotels and pubs, and staff who need to run an evacuation at the busiest moment of the night. This free template follows the five-step method in the government guides, covers the kitchen hazards in depth, and gives you the significant findings record and action plan a fire officer asks for.
