Ask Paddy

Tell Paddy what you need. It sets it up.

Ask Paddy books the contractor visit, writes the risk assessment, chases the checks nobody has done and builds the pack for your next inspection. It shows you exactly what it is about to do, and waits for you to confirm.

The admin is the bit that never gets done

Not because it is hard, but because it always costs an evening you have not got

The admin never ends

Booking the pest control visit, writing up another risk assessment, chasing whoever missed the closing checks. None of it is hard. All of it takes an evening you do not have.

Setup is the reason it never gets done

You know the routines should be in place. Building them one screen at a time is the bit that keeps getting pushed to next week, and next week.

Nobody knows what is outstanding

Overdue checks, expiring certificates, alerts nobody acknowledged. The information exists across six different screens and no one has time to read all six.

An inspection means a lost afternoon

When the EHO books in, someone spends hours pulling together temperature logs, training records, cleaning schedules and supplier paperwork.

An assistant that does the work

Ask Paddy reads your real account: your sites, your teams, your equipment, your suppliers. Tell it what you need and it works out exactly what to do, shows you, and does it once you confirm. The one thing it will never do is fill in the records that prove the work happened.

It Does the Job, Not Just the Explaining

Ask for a weekly deep clean on Mondays and it builds the routine and assigns it. Ask for a pest control visit next Tuesday and it goes in the calendar. Around 66 things you would otherwise click through yourself.

You Confirm Before Anything Happens

Paddy shows a card setting out exactly what it will do, down to which site and which people. Nothing is written to your account until you press Confirm.

It Never Signs Your Records

Paddy will not log a temperature, tick off a check or sign a risk assessment. An inspector asks who did the work, and the answer has to be a person. That line is built in, not a setting.

It Knows What Needs Attention

Ask what needs doing today and you get the overdue checks, unresolved alerts, records waiting on you and expiring certificates in one answer, rather than six screens.

Answers for the Whole Team

Staff ask Paddy questions on their phones mid-shift and get answers from your own SOPs and allergen data. Making changes stays with owners and managers.

Every Action Is On the Record

Anything Paddy carries out is written to your audit log against the person who approved it. Asking Paddy leaves the same trail as doing it by hand.

What to ask it for

Set Up a Routine by Describing It

"Set up a weekly deep clean on Mondays for the kitchen team." Paddy builds the routine, puts it on the schedule and assigns it. What would have been ten minutes of form filling is one sentence.

Book the Visit While You Think of It

"Book a pest control visit next Tuesday." "Schedule the PAT testing for the first week of next month." It goes in the calendar with the contractor details, and the reminders come as normal.

Start the Day with What Is Outstanding

"What needs my attention today?" One question returns the overdue checks, the open alerts, the records waiting on your review and the documents about to expire, across every site you run.

Draft the Paperwork You Keep Putting Off

"Write a risk assessment for the new fryer." "Draft a COSHH assessment for the oven cleaner." Paddy produces the document from your own operation. You read it and sign it, because that part is yours.

Get the Audit Pack Before the Inspection

"The EHO is coming Thursday, get me an audit pack." Temperature logs, cleaning records, training, HACCP, allergens, supplier paperwork, all gathered into one file while you carry on with service.

Handle the Team Admin in a Sentence

"Invite jane@example.com as a manager at Brighton." "Add Jo and Sam to the kitchen team." "Assign the allergen training to front of house." No hunting for the right settings page.

Make It Happen Every Week, Not Once

"Every Friday remind the closing manager to log the fridge temps." Paddy sets up a rule that runs on its own. Ask which sites and it will tell you, because it will not switch something on everywhere by default.

Staff Food Safety Questions

"What temperature should the walk-in fridge be?" "How long can cooked rice stay at room temperature?" Staff get answers from your HACCP plans, SFBB pack and knowledge hub without waiting for a supervisor.

Allergen Query Resolution

"Does the Thai green curry contain peanuts?" "Which starters are safe for a coeliac customer?" Paddy cross-references your allergen matrix in real time, faster than flipping through a printed folder.

Frequently asked questions

What is Ask Paddy?

Ask Paddy is the AI assistant built into Paddl, and it does two jobs. It answers questions from your own SOPs, policies, allergen data and records, so anyone on your team can ask. It also carries out the admin for owners and managers: creating routines, booking contractor and inspection visits, inviting staff, assigning training, drafting risk assessments, resolving alerts, and building the pack you hand an inspector. Every action is shown to you first and only runs when you confirm it.

Does the AI actually do things, or just tell me how?

It does them. Ask for a weekly deep clean on Mondays and the routine exists, scheduled and assigned, once you confirm. Most AI in hospitality software answers questions and leaves the clicking to you. Paddy carries out around 66 different jobs across routines, scheduling, people, suppliers, compliance paperwork and reporting.

Will it change anything without asking me?

No. Paddy replies with a card setting out exactly what it is about to do, including which site, which people and which dates. Nothing is written to your account until you press Confirm. Only the person who asked can confirm that action, the card expires after an hour, and everything Paddy carries out is recorded in your audit log against the person who approved it.

Can it fill in our checks and records for us?

No, and that is deliberate. Paddy will not log a temperature, complete a check, approve a record somebody else submitted, or sign a risk assessment, SFBB pack or HACCP plan. Those are the evidence an environmental health officer looks at, and they have to belong to the person who did the work. Any system that fills them in for you is creating a record that nobody stands behind. What Paddy does is set the work up, chase what is outstanding, draft the paperwork for you to review, and gather the evidence when you need it.

Who in my team can use it?

Anyone can ask Paddy questions and get answers from your documentation, on the mobile app or in the admin panel. Making changes is limited to owners and managers, and to the admin panel. Staff cannot have Paddy alter your account, so a new starter cannot accidentally reschedule your compliance.

Is my business data kept private and secure?

Yes. Your data is never used to train AI models and is isolated per business. All queries are processed securely, and Paddy only accesses content in your own account. Staff can only see information relevant to their assigned locations.

How does the AI learn about my business?

Paddl uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation to search your Knowledge Hub content, including uploaded documents, policies, allergen data and training materials. Answers come back with source references so staff can verify them. For actions, Paddy reads your live account: your real sites, teams, equipment and suppliers, so what it proposes fits the business you actually run.

Does the AI replace food safety training?

No. Staff still need Level 2 Food Hygiene certification and any role-specific training your business requires. What Paddy does is make that knowledge accessible in the moment, and take the administrative work off the manager so there is more time for the parts that need a person.

Is the AI assistant an extra cost?

No. Ask Paddy is included at every price point, with no AI add-on tier and no per-seat AI fee. Paddl is one price per location per month.
