Multi-brand restaurant group compliance across separate businesses
Group your businesses into brands and your sites into areas, keep group standards as masters, roll out updates to a brand or an area, and see readiness for every business on one page. Each business keeps its own billing at £69 per site.
For multi-brand restaurant group compliance, Paddl puts an organisation above your separate businesses: brands group the businesses, areas group sites across them, group masters roll out as drafts each business approves, and one organisation home shows readiness by business or by area, while billing stays per business at £69 per site per month.
Separate companies, one group standard
Why one shared account does not fit a group of brands
Each brand is its own company
The burger brand, the pizza brand and the café sit in separate limited companies with separate bank accounts. Merging them into one system account would undo that on purpose.
The same town, three brands, three systems
An operations manager covering one town walks between three venues that report to three different places. Nobody sees the town as a whole.
Group standards drift brand by brand
The group fire risk assessment and the cleaning SOP were written once and copied into each brand. Each copy has changed since, and nobody knows which one is current.
Brand managers need their brand, not the group
A brand manager should see every site in their brand and nothing else. Most tools offer either the whole account or a single site.
Brands, areas and one library
Inside each business nothing changes: business, regions if you want them, then sites. The organisation adds brands, areas and the library on top.
Brands group the businesses
Put each business in a brand by what it sells. Brands are optional and a business sits in at most one, so the group view follows how you already run the company. A brand can carry its logo and set how its businesses' public allergen page looks.
Areas group sites across businesses
An area called Hereford can hold a burger shop, a pizza place and a bookshop café that are three separate businesses. Each site sits in at most one area, and an area manager covers the sites in theirs.
One organisation home, by business or by area
Every business on one page: readiness score and status, readiness per area of compliance, library updates waiting and overdue, and whether it is live. Switch to By area to see a town at once. Needs attention lists overdue Required updates, sites with no area and businesses not live.
Group masters, rolled out to each business
HACCP plans, SFBB packs, risk assessments, SOPs and policies, documents and routines are held as masters. Add one to chosen businesses and sites; each business gets a draft for its own approver, linked to the master.
Updates to a brand, an area or everyone
Change a master and publish an update to everyone, one brand, one area or chosen businesses. Each business reviews it section by section and takes or keeps each part. Mark it Required with a due date and lock the sections that must not change.
Brand managers and area managers
Organisation roles sit on top of business roles: Admin, Library editor, Brand manager for their brands and Area manager for the sites in their areas. An organisation role never opens a business on its own; manager access is granted in one action.
“Great for multi brand operators with different specs for each business and location. Remote visibility of compliance for head office.”
How each business goes live
Each business sets up its own sites like this, usually inside two weeks. A business added to the organisation is then offered every master it does not have, in one go.
- 1
Create the account with your site count
Every site gets its own location, settings and records from day one. Groups of three or more sites are offered a setup call on the success screen.
- 2
Invite managers and choose their sites
Owners see everything. Each manager sees only the sites they are given, on the desktop and in the mobile manager view.
- 3
Assign the library to the sites that need it
Routines, HACCP plans, SFBB packs, risk assessments, documents and training modules assigned to some sites or all of them in one action, then completed per site.
- 4
Every site starts scoring
A daily compliance score per site built from its own checks, records, documents, equipment and training, lined up in the all-locations view.
- 5
The Monday digest and the audit pack
The weekly digest lists what is overdue and expiring at each site. When an inspector, insurer or landlord asks, generate that site's evidence pack.

Common questions from multi-brand groups
Do our brands have to be merged into one Paddl account?
No. Each brand or company stays its own Paddl business with its own approval, records, staff, modules and subscription. An organisation sits above them and ties them together without merging them.
How is a multi-brand group billed?
Billing stays per business, permanently. Each business pays £69 per site per month for its own sites, with no volume discount. There is no organisation invoice, and the organisation is free for anyone who owns two or more live businesses.
Can we keep different standards for different brands?
Updates can go to one brand, one area, chosen businesses or everyone, and each business keeps its own version of every linked item. Masters themselves are offered to every business in the organisation today; brand-only masters are not available yet.
What does an area manager see across brands?
The By area view on the organisation home shows readiness and update status for the sites in an area, whichever business runs them. For manager access inside a business, one action grants it: straight away where the organisation admin owns the business, or as a request the owner approves where they do not.
What happens if we sell one of the brands?
The business can leave the organisation, or the organisation can remove it. Its linked items become its own independent copies with their history kept, and nothing is deleted. Its subscription was always its own.
