Franchise food safety compliance software
Keep brand standards in one library, roll them out as drafts each franchisee approves, and set Required updates with due dates. Every franchisee stays its own business with its own billing, and its staff and records stay its own. £69 per site with every feature.
Paddl is franchise food safety compliance software for UK hospitality brands: the franchisor keeps brand standards as masters in an organisation library, each franchisee joins as its own business by an invitation it accepts and approves every update, and head office sees readiness and update status for each franchise but never its staff or records, at £69 per site per month billed to each business.
One brand, many owners
What a franchisor cannot see or change from head office today
The brand standard lives in a manual
The franchisor writes the HACCP approach, the cleaning standard and the opening checks once. Each franchisee prints them, edits them and files them. Two years on, nobody knows which version a site is running.
A change at head office never quite lands
A new allergen procedure goes out by email. Some franchisees adopt it, some miss it, and the franchisor has no record of who took it or when.
Franchisees own their business and their data
A franchisee is a separate company with its own staff and its own records. They will not hand head office a login to everything, and they should not have to.
The rating on the door carries the brand name
A poor hygiene rating at one franchise is reported under the brand. The franchisor needs to see which sites are slipping without running every site for them.
Brand standards that reach every franchise
An organisation sits above the franchise businesses and ties them together without merging them. Each franchisee keeps its own approval, sign off, records, staff and subscription.
Brand standards in one library
HACCP plans, SFBB packs, risk assessments, SOPs and policies, documents and routines are held as masters in the organisation library. Start it from what your own sites already use: add any item to the library and it becomes the master.
Each franchisee stays its own business
Every franchisee keeps its own Paddl business, its own subscription and its own billing. It joins your organisation by an invitation its owner accepts, after a consent screen that lists exactly what the organisation will see and do.
Rolled out as drafts the franchisee approves
Add a master to chosen franchisees and match it to their routines, equipment and suppliers. Each business gets a draft for its own approver, linked to the master. Nothing goes live in a franchisee business until it approves.
Required updates with due dates and locked sections
Publish an update with a change note and mark it Required with a due date. Lock the sections that are brand standard: they are read only in the franchisee business and only change through your updates. Reminders go three days before the date, and overdue shows on your organisation home.
Readiness and status, never staff or records
The organisation sees each franchise business: readiness score and status, readiness per area of compliance, library updates waiting and overdue, and whether it is live. It never sees a franchisee business's staff, records or documents, unless the franchisee owner gives someone manager access inside it.
Area managers with access the owner approves
Give an area manager the sites in their area. When they need manager access inside a franchisee business, an organisation admin asks for it in one action and the franchisee owner approves. An organisation role never opens a business on its own.
How each franchise goes live
Each franchise business sets up its own sites like this, usually inside two weeks. Once it accepts your invitation, it is offered every master from your library in one go.
- 1
Create the account with your site count
Every site gets its own location, settings and records from day one. Groups of three or more sites are offered a setup call on the success screen.
- 2
Invite managers and choose their sites
Owners see everything. Each manager sees only the sites they are given, on the desktop and in the mobile manager view.
- 3
Assign the library to the sites that need it
Routines, HACCP plans, SFBB packs, risk assessments, documents and training modules assigned to some sites or all of them in one action, then completed per site.
- 4
Every site starts scoring
A daily compliance score per site built from its own checks, records, documents, equipment and training, lined up in the all-locations view.
- 5
The Monday digest and the audit pack
The weekly digest lists what is overdue and expiring at each site. When an inspector, insurer or landlord asks, generate that site's evidence pack.

Common questions from franchisors
How is billing handled for a franchise on Paddl?
Billing stays with each business, permanently. Each franchisee pays for its own sites at £69 per site per month, and the franchisor pays for any sites it owns. There is no organisation invoice, and the organisation itself is free for anyone who owns two or more live businesses.
Can a franchisor with one business start an organisation?
Not yet. Starting an organisation needs two or more live businesses that the franchisor owns in Paddl, for example company-owned sites run as separate businesses. Franchisee businesses then join by an invitation each owner accepts. If head office runs as a single business, book a group demo and we will go through the set-up with you.
What can the franchisor see in a franchisee business?
Readiness rings and scores, counts, and the status of library items and updates for each business. The franchisor never sees a franchisee business's staff, records or documents, unless the franchisee owner gives one of its people manager access inside it. The franchisee sees this list on the consent screen before it accepts the invitation.
How do brand standard updates reach franchisees?
You change the master and publish an update with a change note, to everyone, a brand, an area or chosen businesses. Each franchisee reviews it section by section, side by side with its own version, and takes or keeps each section. Every decision is recorded with who made it and when.
Can we make franchisees adopt a change?
You can mark an update Required with a due date and lock chosen sections, so those sections can only change through your updates. The franchisee still reviews and approves it; nothing is applied automatically. Past the due date it shows as overdue on your organisation home.
What happens when a franchisee leaves?
Its owner can take a business out at any time, and the organisation can remove one. Its linked items become its own independent copies with their history kept. Nothing is deleted.
Does Paddl manage franchise agreements or royalties?
No. Paddl is food safety, compliance and operations software. It does not handle franchise sales, agreements, fees or royalty collection; it holds the standards and shows whether each franchise is keeping them.
